Requirements

This page explains the requirements needed to run Squirrelcart, and some optional features. More information can be found in the documentation.

Minimum Server Requirements

Skill Required for Installation

  • Basic knowledge of FTP
    This is needed to upload files and set a few permissions
  • Ability to create a MySQL DB and User
    This is usually done via your web hosts control panel.

  • Internet Explorer 5.5+
  • FireFox 1.0+
  • Mozilla 1.6+
  • Safari 1.2+
  • Netscape Navigator 7.2+
  • Camino

Other Requirements

  • CURL or fsockopen() support, and OpenSSL are required for the following:
    - UPS OnLineŽ Tools
    - USPS Web Tools (CURL or fsockopn() only - OpenSSL not needed)
    - Some Payment Gateways Methods
  • GD 1.6.2 or higher and PHP 4.3.0 or higher is required for advanced graphic features
  • expat (for XML parsing) is required for UPS OnLineŽ Tools, USPS web tools, and some payment gateways
