By default, the categories are displayed in your storefront sorted by name, and in ascending order. You can change what the sort field is, and the order in which they are sorted.

 

1. Navigate to Store Settings

 

 

2. Set field to sort by

 

In the "General Settings" section, change the "Order Categories By" field to the name of the field you want to sort your categories by.

 

 

3. Set sort order

 

In the "General Settings" section, change the "Order Categories How" field to either Ascending or Descending.
