Squirrelcart v3.1.0

Squirrelcart version 3.1.0 has been released. It has some new features, a new XSS security patch, and all the bug fixes we've released to date. Bug fixes are boring, so let's just explain some of the new stuff first...

Inventory Control Improvements

We've added a feature that will automatically restock your products. By default, it happens when you delete, refund, or cancel an order. You have full control over exactly when restocking occurs via a new field on your store settings page:

Built-in Main Menu Navigation Block

Version 3.0.0 added CMS support for creating your own content, along with the abilitiy to create links to that content to make your own pages appear as part of your store. In order to make those links appear on the storefront page, you had to put the code to display your links somewhere. Most customers did this by creating a navigation block to display primary links. Version 3.1.0 adds a built in Navigation Block with the code to display your primary links already present. For new installs, the navigation block is already present on your storefront page. It appears as soon as you add one "primary link". For customers upgrading to v3.1.0, you'll find this navigation block on your theme's record in your control panel, ready to be added to your storefront page if needed.

Security Patch and Bug Fixes

We've released security patch SC091021, which fixes 2 recently discovered XSS vulnerabilities. This patch is built into version 3.1.0, and is available for download on our Downloads page for all customers regardless of your download status. If you are running versions 2.0.0 through 3.0.2, you should either upgrade to version 3.1.0 or apply this patch. Head over to our version history page for a full list of all the changes.
