Announcing Squirrelcart v2.6.0!

We've added a few more bells and a couple of whistles to Squirrelcart.

Some of the new features

• Support for new Testimonials module
• Human verification feature using reCAPTCHA

  With this feature, you can add a section like this to the account form, forgot password form, testimonial form, and reviews form:

  

  You can turn this on or off individually for all of these forms. Use of reCAPTCHA is free.

• Per character charge for text and textarea product options

  You can now create text and textarea options that will allow you to charge for every character entered by your customers. This is useful for merchants in the engraving, printing, and sign making industries. This also supports optionally charging for spaces, and works live with the QuickTotal module as your customer types.

  
• Payment page skipped when order total is $0.00 - this will automatically skip the payment page for free orders, for items like catalogs and other freebies.
• Improvements to cookie handling - cookies are now set and unset differently, which will fix some reported problems with "remember me" cookies not deleting on logout.

Testimonials Module

We are proud to announce the official release of our new Testimonials module!

Back in May we released our Reviews module, which allows customers to provide feedback about your products. This module allows your customers to provide feedback about your store and your customer service - directly in your Squirrelcart storefront.

You've probably gotten emails from customers saying how happy they are with your store, and with your service. This module also gives you a place to put all those comments - on your Testimonials page.

We've added an optional moderation feature (enabled by default) that you can use to screen testimonials for approval.

• Customizable navigation block to show a subset of your testimonials on your store's home page
• Testimonials page - shows all approved testimonials
• Customizable testimonial form for customers to easily add their comments
• Testimonials form supports reCAPTCHA for human verification and spam blocking
• Moderation feature - moderate testimonials via email or your control panel. Moderation can be disabled, but is enabled by default. When ON, testimonials do not appear in your store until you mark them as approved.
• Optionally show testimonials in random order
• Does not require a customer account to submit a testimonial
