Version 4.0 was a major update, with loads of new features. We've had lots of great feedback from those of you that have already upgraded. One of you even sent us a puppy! Squirrelcart v4.1.0Version 4.1.0 is now available. It contains all the features of version 4.0, one very cool new feature via our Slideshow module, and some bug fixes. Product Page SlideshowWe've had a slideshow module for quite some time. With it, you can create fancy slideshows to show off different products and categories. You can add these slideshows to your store wherever you'd like after you create them. With the new prodcut page slideshow feature, you can now put product image slideshows on your product pages automatically without having to create them one by one. When enabled, it will display a slideshow where the regular product image used to appear. It uses the main product image and any extra images assigned to that product. The appearance of the slideshow can be controlled just like any other slideshow. You can add frames if you wish, control the size, transition effects, thumbnails, etc... One special built-in slideshow record controls the appearance of the slideshows for all your product pages. This new feature also provides a way to show captions for each extra image, via the new "alt" field which appears for each extra product image field in the control panel.
How to get this feature... Social Sign-In Setup Service Now Available
With the new social sign-in feature your customers can login using accounts they already have on Facebook, Twitter, and Google. Based on your customer feedback, this seems to be one of the most popular features of version 4. While we've tried to make it as simple as possible to enable, it does require creating application profiles on these websites. That process varies for each social network, and does require some moderate computer skills. It can be tricky to navigate through the various settings, forms and fields on these three sites for users that are not computer savvy. We are here to help.
