Squirrelcart v3.5.0

Every once in awhile, a Squirrelcart version comes along that is bigger and better than other versions, one that will kick sand in your face, and steal your girlfriend. This is that version.

Active Carts

You can now view orders that are in progress via the Active Carts feature in the control panel.

Order Fees

The new Order Fees feature lets you assign an unlimited number of additional fees to your orders. With our powerful ruleset feature, rules can be assigned to control when a fee is charged. You can add fees based on location, past orders, group membership, date, and much more.

They can be combined and shown as handling, or listed individually with whatever label you like.

It also supports the tooltip feature, to give the customer more info about the fees.

Many Shipping Updates

We have re-certified with UPS via their UPS Ready program, and now offer full label support. Some of the new shipping features we've added:

• Updated all of our UPS specific code, for UPS Developer Kit (formerly UPS Online Tools)
• Added ZPL and EPL thermal label support for both UPS and FedEx
• Print thermal labels to IP based or local printers
• New auto confirm setting for shipments, to skip confirmation when rate is within specified threshold, to make label generation faster in control panel
• Automatically create shipping labels behind the scenes, the moment your customer submits their order (for UPS and FedEx)
• Automatically print thermal labels that were created during checkout, to an IP based thermal printer. This will result in the label being printed the instant the customer completes their order!
• Create UPS return shipping labels
• Support for obtaining UPS negotiated rates
• Added icon/link to Orders table to reflect current status of order. You can now create and print labels directly from the Orders table view without having to open the order record.
• Updated shipping forms in control panel.
• Many improvements to make generating labels easier and faster

Sales Agreement Improvements

In prior versions, sales agreements could only be shown on your product pages. They can now be shown at checkout, on the account form, address form, and product pages.

Sales agreements assigned to products will appear on the payment page OR on the product page, depending on your configuration.

• Order statistics improvements - stats now exclude refunded and voided orders, view sales by years, months, days, hours...
• Emptying the cart now returns customer to store homepage, instead of a mostly blank page.
• Optimized some database queries

Our store locator module lets your customers easily locate your US retail store locations.

• Search by distance from customer Zip Code™

• Results sorted by approximate distance in miles from customer Zip Code™
• Zip Code™ data used to determine distance is accurate, and contains over 40,000 US zip code locations.
• Show store address information, with optional store hours and Google maps
• Manage your locations using Squirrelcart's control panel
• Customize instructions, page header and footer, and form labels via our control panel
