Contact Module

Our new contact module facilitates communication between your customers and your staff. It provides a customizable contact page with an email contact form. It also provides optional sections on your contact page for displaying your retail store locations, and department contact information.

Some of the many features include:

• Contact form for customer to send you an email, with an optional vCard attachment containing all of their contact information.
• Customer can receive a confirmation email if enabled, along with an optional vCard containing your contact info.
• Control the contact page header and footer
• Control which fields appear on the form, and their labels
• Add a "Department" field to route customer emails to different departments
• reCaptcha support, to prevent spam submissions
• Show your departments' contact info and optional business hours
• Show your retail locations' contact info, optional Google maps and business hours
• vCard support, to include a .vcf file attachment in contact emails, containing all contact info. vCard files can be used to add contacts in Microsoft Outlook, smart phones like the iPhone, and many other applications.
• Download vCards on customer and order records in the control panel
• hCard support for your department and retail store location info

Slideshow Module

The new slideshow module provides a tool in your Squirrelcart control panel to create interactive image slideshows. Use it to create slideshows showcasing your products. Slideshows can be placed in a Squirrelcart Content record, Navigation Block, or template file. They can also be embedded on any web page using our embed code, even if the page is not part of your Squirrelcart store.

Some of the many features include:

• Show any products or categories you like
• Optionally link each image to product or category pages
• Optional captions
• Show custom images using your own URLs, with optional custom captions, thumbnails, and links
• Landscape and Portrait orientations supported
• Thumbnails can be disabled. When enabled, they can be placed above, below, to the left, or to the right of your slideshow. You can also control the size of the thumbnail images
• Slideshow images and thumbnail images are automatically generated at the correct size when the PHP GD extension is installed. You do not need to generate special images for your slideshows - use the images you already have.
• 11 built-in frame styles
• Transition effects
• Control transition duration, and amount of time each slide is shown
• Create your own styles (requires knowledge of CSS)
• Cross-browser compatible
• Pure Javascript via Mootools and the Slideshow2 class - does not require Flash
• Valid XHTML 1.0 transitional code, and valid CSS 2.1 stylesheets

Squirrelcart v3.3.0

Squirrelcart version 3.3.0 has been released. This update is bigger than Ol' Saint Nick, and you know that guy is up there in pounds. It has a boat load of new features. Here are a few highlights...

New Product Option Features

All option fields now support quantities and optional custom tooltips!

Text and Textarea options now support minimum and maximum character fields:

New Automatic Categories

We've always had a built-in automatic category, called New Products. We've added two more -
All Products, and Best Sellers. These categories work like the New Products category. You do not have to add products to them; they automatically contain the correct products. You can also use these categories when creating discounts, to automatically discount every product in the store, or all of your best selling items. If you don't want to display these categories, you can easily disable them.

Google Maps

We've added automatic Google Maps on control panel customer and order records:

Table names above data grids

We get tired of forgetting which table we are working with in the control panel. I bet you do too. This is a simple but very beneficial change.

Subcategory Images

Subcategories now appear using your own images, if you assign an image to the Thumbnail Image field on your subcategory records.
