Squirrelcart supports Real Time Rates via Australia Post.
- Cilck the Shipping Couriers menu link
- Click on the record row labeled Australia Post
- Check the RTR Enabled field to enable real time rates
- Check the Enabled field to enable the courier itself
- Make sure you have at least one shipping service selected
- Click
Package Origination
Australia Post can only provide rates for packages shipping from Australia. For this reason, your packages in Squirrelcart must have an Australian originating address. The originating address for packages is controlled in 2 ways.
Method 1: With inventory control disabled (or with it enabled with only a single warehouse record)
With this method, the address specified in your store settings controls where packages are shipped from. You should ensure that you have your Postal Code set to a valid Australian postal code, and the Country field set to Australia.
Method 2: With inventory control enabled and with more than one warehouse record
With this method, the address on your Store Settings page controls the originating address for all packages shipping from the default warehouse. For packages shipping from other warehouses, the address on the warehouse record is used and must be an Australian address for Australian Post rates to be returned.
Weights and Measurements
While it's not required, you will probably want to change the Weight Units field on your Store Settings page to kg, and the Dimension Units field to cm.
