Minimum requirements

To run Squirrelcart, you will need a website on a web server that has:

• PHP 7.2 or newer
• MySQL 4.1 or newer

Optional requirements

• An SSL certificate is required if you want to collect credit cards directly on your site. Even if you do not, an SSL certificate is highly recommended as it will result in more sales.
• CURL or fsockopen() support, and OpenSSL are required for some payment gateways.
• PHP 5 (or newer), CURL or fsockopen() support, and OpenSSL, and SOAP are required for FedEx® Web Services and UPS® Developer Kit.
• GD 1.6.2 or higher and PHP 4.3.0 or higher is required for advanced image features.

Squirrelcart is easy to install. It requires a familiarity with FTP. You will also need to install the MySQL DB, which is fairly simple, and is explained in our installation instructions. We also offer installation services should you need them.

If you've never installed a script on your website or uploaded files to it, you probably don't have the experience needed to perform an installation and may want to order our installation service.

If you know what FTP is and how to use it, and can edit text files, you can probably handle it yourself.

Check your download access

In order to get the latest version of Squirrelcart, your download access must be active. If you're not sure if it's expired, you can check it here.

Download access expired?

If your download access has expired, you can renew it by ordering a download renewal.

Need help with upgrading?

If your download access is active, you can download the latest version and follow our upgrade instructions to perform an upgrade yourself. If you would like us to perform the upgrade for you, you can purchase our upgrade service. This service covers our time only, and does not include software. If you order this service and your download access is expired, you also need to order a download renewal.

When you buy our software, you own it. You can use it on a single store as long as you like. We do not have recurring charges, with the exception of web hosting.

We offer a 14-day money back refund on Squirrelcart (all versions), our modules, and our themes. If you decide it's not for you, send us confirmation that you've removed it from your site, and we will refund your money.

Services, custom work, license renewals, bulk discounted purchases, and support fees are not covered by this policy and are non-refundable.

Squirrelcart Pro includes (1) free installation service as an incentive. If you purchase Squirrelcart Pro, take advantage of that incentive, and then request a refund, the amount of your refund will be reduced by the cost of that service if installation has been performed.

Each Squirrelcart (or module, or theme) purchase gives you a license to use that software for a single store installation. If you need to use Squirrelcart (or a module, or a theme) for more than one store, you will need to purchase a license for each store.

What if I have more than one store on the same domain?

If you need to run multiple copies of Squirrelcart even on the same domain, you still need to order one license per store.

I bought a theme that has multiple display options. Can I use them on different stores?

Our themes include many different display options. You are allowed to use any of those options on a single store, for each theme license you purchased. You cannot use a theme on another store unless you purchase another copy of that theme.

If you need help making Squirrelcart fit your site, we offer customization services at reasonable prices. We can create a Squirrelcart theme to match the look of your site, or any other design you have the rights to. See our custom design page for more information.

Squirrelcart stores the orders in your database, and emails them to you. It also emails the customer a confirmation email. Both of these emails can be turned on or off, and you can send the order notification email (for the merchant) to as many email addresses as you like.See here for more info.

We started selling Squirrelcart back in 2002, 22 years ago.

Squirrelcart is sold and developed by Codelizard Web Services. When ordering from us, charges will appear on your credit card statement under that name.

We offer custom programming. If you need to add functionality to Squirrelcart, please contact us for a free quote.

Squirrelcart does not store credit card numbers for security reasons. If you have a merchant account and access to a payment gateway, you will not need access to card numbers under normal circumstances. The best and most secure way of accepting credit cards is through a payment gateway.

If you have a valid business need for processing offline, please contact us and we may be able to help you.

Yes. If you own regular Squirrelcart, you are eligible for a discount to change your license to Squirrelcart Pro. Please contact us for pricing.
