Question Testing Slideshow On Local Server

Have installed sc ver. 3.3.6 on my local unix server for testing.
Now have added the Slideshow module.
I have not been able to get the Php code for a slideshow to run on a "Content" page.
    The iframe version does better.
I use Slimbox very heavily displaying alternate pictures in the product records.
Is there any chance of a conflict there?

    Question More Slideshow

When "previewing" a slideshow after setting it up, I get the following type messages in diagnostic mode.

MySQL error: Table '36_db.rel_products__slideshows' doesn't exist

    Query was: DELETE FROM `REL_Products__Slideshows` WHERE `Slideshows_rn` = '512'

    09/08/2011 06:41:18
    Error: Table '36_db.rel_categories__slideshows' doesn't exist

Query was: INSERT INTO `REL_Categories__Slideshows` (`Categories_rn`,`Slideshows_rn`) VALUES ('2','512')

No, the module works fine alongside Slimbox.

This is not a known bug. If you open a helpdesk ticket and provide steps to reproduce it, we can look into it.

    Question REL_Products_Slideshows

Regarding the above mentioned error messages.

I just did a completely clean original Squirrelcart 3.3.6 install on the local server.
Then added the Slideshow module only. There have been no other mods to the install.
The table "REL_Products_Slideshows" does not exist in the database.
This is the same condition noted on the production server.
Does this table need to exist for Slideshow to function?

    Exclamation I'll Answer That

    Appears to be NO.

Slideshow runs fine on the cherry install.
Without any "REL" tables. Not sure why the other test copy is making that call.

We don't have (and never had) a table named REL_Products_Slideshows.

    Cool Not A Surprise There

I guess this shows how messed up things can get.

The software all runs beautifully in as-delivered condition.
I've started modifying a brand new build of the store.
When I hit the bad file(s), I'll know it.
As you said elsewhere. There are some very old files in the production store.
Going back about 5-6 years worth of upgrades and patches.
    Somewhere I lost control.
But, it is an education, and your code with the template markers is very clear and easy to read.

    Cool Up And Running

Slideshow now running correctly on the production server.

Problem was a bad edit of pre_common.php.
Computers just have no sense of humor.
