Any chance for a patch regarding just the image changes?

There is no set date. We don't usually give release dates unless they are fairly certain, because the minute that timeframe passes, we usually get
complaints asking why it wasn't released when we guessed it might possibly be.

This feature is not finished. It would be impossible to release it now.

FYI - Version 3.4.0 has a large number of improvements that have been ready to go for some time now. This is the only thing keeping us from releasing 3.4.0 and its not ready. Rather than holding up v3.4.0 for this one feature, we are pushing this to 3.5.0 so those other features can be made available.

This in no way delays the completion of this feature, as it is still a top priority. It just doesn't make sense to hold back 3.4.0 for this. I've updated the title of this thread to reflect this change.

Yes, I can't wait as well. This is definitely coming. Unfortunately, it keeps getting pushed down the road due to other required updates that we don't have much control over.

Version 3.5.0 is not far away now, but this is most likely not going to make it in.

Appears this feature request was brought up 6 years ago and still in high demand. Lifespan of a squirrel is less than that.

This feature will be added as soon as it is physically possible to do so. For the time being, we will be adding something that serves the same purpose that is much faster to develop, which will be in the next version.
