By default, the products are displayed in your storefront sorted by name, and in ascending order. You can change what the sort field is, and the order in which they are sorted. For example, you may want to display your products sorted by price, in descending order.

In the "General Settings" section, change the "Order Products By" field to the name of the field you want to sort your products by.
